URGENT NEEDS

Thank you for joining us on this journey. For almost every adult person I know, finances are the #1 stress point in their lives. It is easy for our eyes to bug out and to feel anxious and panic about how everything will work out.

 Stress and anxiety regarding finances a temptation for us too!

However, as we are transparent with varying needs and as you read them, I want to remind you that ultimate provision comes from the Creator God. He has all of us in the palm of His hand! Isn't that incredible?!!

    

We are so grateful that we have been serving in San Jose for more than 13 years!! That is a beautiful MIRACLE in itself! Thank you for helping serve the marginalized in our city and see young people come alive with Jesus! You are a true instrument of His grace, provision and faith! GIVING OPPORTUNITIES

As we wrap up our time as full-time ministers with YWAM, we are praying and believing for finances to bear us up in our transition. Originally we had communicated an amount of $150k to aid us in our transition and launch us into our next season. With some recent news regarding our housing situation below we are hoping to raise significantly more to secure some long-term housing. 

URGENT NEED (June 2023)

We have an opportunity to buy a home. Last week we received word we will need to move out of our long-term rental that we have called home for the past 11 years. At the same time, the owners of the house we have rented for YWAM, which is just around the corner, have approached us to see if we are interested to buy it. They are not interested in renting so we have some limited options. They are offering the property at $800k which is far below what they may be able to get on the open market (comps are between 1-1.2 m)

Our goal is to raise enough money through gifts and possibly loans to buy this home. At the same time we are going through the process with lenders to see how much mortgage we will be able to qualify for.

In this transition we are hoping to raise enough so we won't have to carry a large housing payment.

Our ask. Would you consider making a love gift to send us out from YWAM after 24 years of service?

Timing.

Our closing will be end of July, this is also the timeline of how much time we have to move out of our current home. Because of this we would need to see these gifts come in soon. What would be helpful would be at least having pledges so we are able to plan. Especially if it may take some time to arrange the gift.

Practically

We do have a window of time where we will be able to receive tax-deductible donations towards YWAM. We are able to receive funds through August 25th when support is sent through YWAM Tyler. We're able to raise support through the end of the year with YWAM San Francisco, we are also able to receive a housing allowance this year, this will enable us to raise quite a bit which would help us in particular for tax purposes.

Our goal is to raise $400,000 for the purchase, (even more if possible.) This amount combined with a mortgage of $400k would be within our budget and capacity. It seems a lot for us but we know He is good and has always supplied all our needs. 

Prayer.

Please pray for us. We had already felt some pressure in this transition and this has elevated some of the stress we are all feeling. Amongst graduation another senior and supporting the kids in this season, starting a new business the pressure while refining, we re needing for people to come around us. We are simultaneously feeling hope while also much pressure.
