May 2012 Update: We're off to South Africa!
I hope this letter finds you all well, I am aware that some of you are going through huge trials at the moment, our prayer is that none of
us would grow weary as we all trust in the Lord to move in all of our lives, thank you for taking the time to read our news and pray for us!
This verse encouraged me this morning that a part of following and believing Jesus also means that we suffer along with Him.
Well, we are off!
So, until a few days ago we were not sure how we were going to manage this trip (either with one of us or all of us going!!). We were a little concerned about a number of things so we went back to the Lord. As we took some time to listen, we believe He encouraged us to proceed.
As we were praying for breakthrough, we had a generous offer from Angela's mother to stay with our children to enable both Ang and I to go, such a blessing. It was a real direct answer to our prayer of breakthrough. Please be praying for us as it is difficult for us both to be away from our kids but we believe this is an important trip for us to take, the timing is good as we observe things falling into place.
We will be heading out on Thursday with one of our new staff, Staci. We are excited for what God is going to do during this trip and are open and expectant to see how we can partner with and assist the Justice Doll ministry. We are also expectant to be refreshed in our vision as we serve others.
Please be praying for these things:
That we would be a blessing and would serve their needs when we are there.
That we would be able to create a video that will capture the essence of the ministry and do it justice (not a joke!)
For provision, we have our tickets but will need to see more come in for our trip as well as some commitments here.
Please also be praying for Angela's mother as she handles our perfectly behaved children (ok, that may have been a joke!)
Thank you for your prayers and continued support towards us as a family in ministry. If you are able and feel led to contribute towards our trip and other expenses, we would be very grateful! I am always blown away how God has provided for our family even if it comes in a different shape or form than we expect. We must always focus on the God and not the gift.
Getting back to San Jose update.
To give a super quick update on our progress of getting back down to San Jose, we are excited at some possible avenues of provision working out. They are still formative and not at all a sure thing, but we are standing on His promise to release a home/property for us. We received a word in prayer that 'we would not arrive in San Jose a minute too late'. This is both encouraging and a little scary all at the same time, but one thing we have become accustomed to is that He has perfect timing and even if we do not have a clue about how it will work out, if He speaks it, you can count on it.
Thank you for all praying and journeying along with us, we hope to deliver good news of His provision soon!!
