The next step...

We're just days out from our move to San Francisco and looking at the next step seems daunting at times... not going to lie...
definitely had a few breakdown moments.

Over the last month, we've been on an INTENSE search with God about our next step. We wanted to make sure we were exploring all our options and asking the right questions. We've had lots of opportunities presented to us over this time. Some included a few months away to go lead some DTSes (Discipleship Training Schools) and recruit staff to bring back to San Jose. Although some of these options were really attractive to us as we prayed, we got a clearer word that we are suppose to continue moving forward in San Jose.

And so it begins... as we temporarily stay in San Francisco, we will be on the hunt for a place for us to plant YWAM Ember Ink in the downtown area of San Jose. We've actually felt like God has been leading us to push up the dates of our DTS to the Fall of 2012 instead of 2013. This means we've already been diving in preparing for the school.

As we shift into full gear with preparing for the DTS and recruiting staff, we are needing to see a house released in San Jose. This is one of our big focuses while we are in San Francisco. We will be looking into all our options and seeing where the Lord leads. We are also actively pursuing people for staff and will be promoting our school shortly. We have a YWAM Ember Ink web page being built at the moment and are aiming to launch it soon. We also look forward to a family vacation to Australia over Christmas which we all cannot wait for.... a summer Christmas!

In the midst of the craziness of yet another transition period, A few people have asked us how we can do this AGAIN... Well, we have literally just had to keep our eyes on Jesus. There is this song that has been kind of our anthem since moving to America. It is called You Won't Relent based on the scripture from Song of Solomon 8:6-7

Place me like a seal over your heart,
   like a seal on your arm;
for love is as strong as death,
   its jealousy unyielding as the grave.
It burns like blazing fire,
   like a mighty flame.
Many waters cannot quench love;
   rivers cannot sweep it away.
If one were to give
   all the wealth of one’s house for love,
   it would be utterly scorned.

What an incredible love song... I realize how our capacity is small. All we can do is place Him as a seal over our hearts so that everything is in Him and through Him. Nothing can get around it... Literally, our hearts are sealed....

When I look at the character of God I see a Father whose LOVE is so extreme that He even sacrificed the life of His Son to overcome anything that would come between us and Him. His love was as strong as death. And what He's asking of us is ALL OF US... the least I can do is trust His best for all of us in this next transition, right? We're getting there. We want Him to have all of us but it does take trusting Him with each little bit. So we chose to trust... I mean, He gave us His Son!! What an amazing love that is!! How can we not expect that He has amazing thing in store...

So, we ask for your prayer as we are moving. We are expectant that God will be laying a clear path for us. Pray for us as we see God make a way for us back into San Jose... specifically with patience, peace, discernment and a release of a house!
