So when I wrote the previous update and sent it out, it was literally about 2
hours after we found out the situation we're in. We prayed and then made the
decision to take the path of buying the house...
We have now been doing lots more research and we're trying to see how all
this can happen.
Ok, long story short...
This past week we’ve been getting ready to re-sign the lease for our home on Friday (today).
Thursday (yesterday) at lunch we found an EVICTION notice taped to our door from the bank saying that the home was being foreclosed on the owner and we had to be out in 3 WEEKS!!! (Sept 14)
I mean he's still pretty cute... with those greenish eyes and black hair, who can resist such a sweet little face? But the time had come. At nearly 5 months, it was time to chop it. Some days I think I would have left it, but no matter how much blue I put on the kid... people would still ask if he was a girl!
So I sat down and gave him a talk about how it was time... he cried (for a bottle), I gave him a bath, and then I cut his baby mullet right off!
I think it helps people too look at those big gorgeous eyes now instead of his hobbit hair. He's so cute!!
Well, I was reading up on the Olympic web site because Joy’s school is doing a “Mini-Olympics” as they learn about all the sports and the significance of the games.
I read that, “the goal of the Olympic Movement is to contribute to building a peaceful and better world by educating youth through sport practised without discrimination of any kind and in the Olympic spirit, which requires mutual understanding with a spirit of friendship, solidarity and fair play.”
I love that Joy is learning that there are many ways to break the language barriers by sharing common interests. This helps expand her world just that much more. And as we travel, she’ll begin to understand that she can make friends no matter where she goes.
